Helping those in need... The Black Saturday bushfires were described as the worst natural disaster experienced in Australia’s history. L.U. Simon Builders Pty Ltd have joined thousands of individuals and organisations in donating to the Red Cross appeal for bushfire victims. Collection tins were placed at each L.U. Simon Builders’ building sites and passed around for donations. Each of the sites were able to donate very generous amounts with the top building sites being Vue Grande ($10,340), Mercy Health and Aged Care ($10,200) and Northbank Place (East, Central and West buildings) ($10,000).

Every little bit helps...
A total of $50,031.35 was raised by all sites, an outstanding effort by all. The directors of L.U. Simon Builders pledged to match the amount raised by each of the sites, dollar for dollar, cent for cent. This brought the grand total to $100,062.70. Lieutenant Colonel Peter Walker and Major Gary Hart from the Salvation Army visited L.U. Simon Builders to meet and greet Mr. Jim Moschoyiannis and site staff, Lindsay Smith, Chris Savronidis and Darko Misic to collect the monies raised for the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal. |
