The Client
Exotic Footwear is a Melbourne-based company specialising in high-heeled boots and shoes as well as apparel. Starting as a small supplier operating from home, Exotic Footwear has grown into one of Australia's leading Exotic Footwear suppliers with over a thousand customers.

The Challenge
The Exotic Footwear Online Shop launched on 20 September 2004 but Andreas soon learned that most “customers couldn’t find products easily [and some] customers couldn’t even find the website!”

He adds, “We exhibited at Sexpo last year, but when people left with only our company name in the mind, they couldn’t find us when they searched for us in search engines.”

Exotic Footwear was losing customers due to poor Online Presence and a customer-unfriendly website.

Exotic Footwear and PowerFront
Andreas came to PowerFront in 2006 wanting to convert his current website to the PowerFront environment without going through the rigmarole of redesigning. Andreas also faced an issue as he needed to covert his website within a limited timeframe.

PowerFront provided Andreas with creative mock-ups of how his website would look once converted before implementation and was also able to guarantee meeting his time restraints to go live with the new and improved website.

“The new website is much more user friendly. The design is much simpler to understand and customers can easily navigate around the site.

Our customers are finding it easy to browse the catalogue to find and choose their products, which means more sales for us. In fact, within the first week of our PowerFront website being online, sales had increased by 300 percent!”

Added to the extra sales revenue, Andreas estimates he will save 10,000 dollars this year as many of his overheads have been reduced. “I save ten dollars per transaction simply because we no longer use Paymate,” says Andreas.

PowerFront enables clients to view statistics on how visitors are finding and using their website. Andreas notes that while web traffic and Online Presence was poor with the previous website, “traffic from Google has increased by around 10 times since converting to PowerFront.”

He continues, “The website has met our needs 100 percent in terms of performance and service. It is much easier to update products and content. Since the majority of our sales are online, we are able to use the amazing website functionalities for transactions, online sales and catalogue, pick and pack backroom processes… just to name a few!
